CR-39 which stands for Columbia resin #39 is the most commonly used plastic polymer lens material. For several decades, lens wearers have relied on 1.5 index lens material, CR-39 monomer, for outstanding optical quality and durability.

LOW- COST AND LIGHT- WEIGHT MATERIAL FOR EVERYDAY USE

The CR-39 allyl-diglycol-carbonate (ADC) monomer combines the optics of glass with the durability of a thermoset material resulting in a light weight scratch resistant material.

COMBINING PERFORMANCE WITH DURABILITY

• Scratch- resistant and lightweight.
• Less chromatic aberration than polycarbonate lenses, stands up to heat and household chemicals and cleaning products.
• Blocks 80% of ultraviolet light without treatment, and can be tinted and coated to provide further ultraviolet light blocking
